Dear Veterans,
Thank you so much for taking you time to come in and talk to us about you experiences in being in the war. I really enjoyed all of the information and the stories. The information that stuck with me the most was how you said that the war was ten times worse than what it looked like in the movies. I can't imagine how it could be. I enjoyed this experince and hope to hear or see you all again.
Kind Regards,
KK

Excellent webb site. Might see your group over Normandy, as we will be there at the same time. We will have several vets with us who were there during the war, and they love doing what they do best, talking about what they did and where they were at the time.

Excellent webb site. Saw your wreath on the grave in the Jerusalem cemetery and wondered who it was from. We visit every year with veterans from the northeast, and we all agreed it was a nice gesture. Pleased all the children who went enjoyed themselves, and helps keep the memoriesalive.

Victor Bernette: ....
This tribute is to pay deep respect and to honour all those servicemen and women who gave their all during those dark 1939-1945 days. Those today have a permanent duty to honour and remember them. What they did and what they gave for us all today. My father, Frank Burnitz(later Bernette), a corporal, was seriously wounded in action but continued to fight for his Regiment, The King Shropshire Light Infantry. He was also A Dunkirk Veteran and told me about his experiences during his six years of army service for his King and country.I honour and respect his memory and also those other souls no longer with us in all conflicts before and after W W 2. Those still living deserve the recognition that their fallen comrades cannot. What they did can never be forgotten.Victor Bernette
God Bless
