Description
Once again we look forward to tentative plans for a crusade of remembrance for the week of June 6th 2011 for all those who gave their lives, on the 6th of June, 1944 and beyond.
This will be the 67th Anniversary of D-Day this may well be our final organised pilgrimage to Normandy due to the ever increasing ages of all our D-Day/WWII veterans. Over the years, organising pilgrimages such as this, it has become more and more difficult for our ageing veterans to cope with journeys like this due to their ongoing frailty and mobility issues. We look forward to this pilgrimage, to view the beaches and battlefields where the actions took place, visit the many museums, as well as pay their respects to other veterans personally, as well as take part in the parades and wreath-layings.
